Dr Veerendra Heggade Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala given ‘Gnana Deekshe’ to students in Bengaluru on Thursday morning and in the evening inaugurated ‘Gnana Degula’ – renowned actor Shivaramanna ‘Gnana Vikasa Mandira’ near Suchitra Film Society in Bengaluru.


Dr Veerendra Heggade addressing the good gathering in the presence of Bannanje Govindacharya, Sri Vidyabhushan, Pavagada Prakash, Mukthinaga Kshetra Swamiji, former deputy chief minister R Ashok, local councillor Lakshmi and others said the opening of this ‘Gnana Vikasa’ is like marrying a daughter. The happiness of keeping books and forwarding knowledge is something special in life. Mr Heggade recalled TMA Pai statement when Indian banks were nationalized. When his opinion was sought Mr Pai disclosed can I get a better ‘Aliya’ than government of India. On the significance of book Mr Heggade explained with statistics at Ujjire and other places. It is time for Universities to take up research on such libraries with very special books he felt. Let the happiness, energy of Shivaramanna today last very long he blessed and felt happy for inaugurating ‘Saraswathi Kshetra’. Dr Heggade was also honored by Shivaramanna and family on this occasion.


Shivaramanna recalling his seventy years plus journey travelled in his words and memory too long. This ‘Gnana Vikasa’ is first step and he will be soon opening at his residence ‘Dhyana Mandira’. On over 10000 books in his ‘Gnana Vikasa Mandira’ he urged people of Bengaluru and other parts to take up research work. On the works of Sri Bannanje Govindacharya this place is open for research. The books are available as reference ones. In the last eight years Shivaramanna has brought up this ‘Gnana Vikasa Mandir’ with the support of his wife, children and son in laws.
